Today was one of the best days I've had in a long time. It was sunny enough for me to get out of the cave and appreciate the land we live on – and feel glad to be around. There's nothing like a good dose of nature to confirm your place in the world.

One day I want to live on a good chunk of land so I can always feel close to nature. There's something so free and wholesome about that idea... herbs and fruit in the garden, a swing on a tree moving in the slight autumn breeze, the pooch lazing in a shady spot, the hose dripping from watering the plants earlier.
