WEEKENDS :: HENS PARTY

If you know me, then you'll know I absolutely love food and doing a bit of cooking, and also that I have a bit of a soft spot for asian cultures. I can't believe that my maid of honour combined these two loves of mine for the most awesome hens night ever!

We all met up for champagne and nibbles where I was dressed in a beautiful, traditional, Japanese garment. After transforming into a Japanese princess, I was then whisked away unknowingly to Sachies Kitchen where we had a lesson in making miso soup, teriyaki and various sushi rolls – including some masterchef-style competitions. Very cool – and all taught to us by an animator-turned-chef who worked on the Dragon Ball Z series, one of my fave cartoons!

We finished the evening at Shanghai Lil's for cocktails. Honestly, it was just my kinda thing, and it was so lovely to see some of my favourite ladies. I bought all the ingredients for teriyaki sauce at the supermarket today! Did you know that it can be kept in the fridge for several months? How about that – a party that's fun and educational!
